today. The review session for the final is Sunday at
5:00. The final is Tuesday at 10:00.
11/18: We continued in Chapter 8.1
The homework due Friday is Page 562, #28 -32. It is the last
one!
11/16: We continued in Chapter
8.1 The homework for Wednesday is Page 562, #13, 18, 23 &
24. We set the time for the review session as Sunday at
5:00. It will only be on Zoom because everybody has to be out
of the dorm the day before.
11/13: We continued in Chapter 8.1.
The homework for Monday is Page 562, #12, 14 -17.

The homework on Page 280 is #12, 13, 15, and 29. You need to
use Cauchy's Rule, list all possible rational zeros, use Descarte's
Rules of signs, and then find all of the zeros using that
information. At some point, the upper bound and lower bounds
might be of help.
11/2: We continued in Chapter 3.3.
The homework for Tuesday is Page 280, #3 -10. If you do not
show work, then you must explain how you got the answers.
Otherwise, you will not get credit.
10/30: We continued in Chapter 3.2 and
started 3.3. The homework for Monday is Page 265, #12-15, 25,
27, 37, & 38
10/28: We started Chapter 3.2. The
homework is Page 265, Questions 1 - 6.

29, 31, 32, and 33.
10/12: We started Chapter 2.2. Because of
the confusion of the homework due today, I delayed the deadline to
9:00 tonight. The homework for Wednesday is Page 183, #10 -
18.
10/9: We finished Chapter 2.1. The
exam was handed back. The answer key will be out either
tonight or tomorrow. The homework for Monday is Pages 163-
164. #25, 30, 32, 33, 35, 39, 41, and 43. Briefly explain how
you got your equation for all questions except #25.
10/7: We covered much of Chapter
2.1. The homework for Friday is: Page 163, #5-7 count as one
problem, #8-10 count as one problem, 15, 16, 17, 18, & 19.

10/2: We went over the questions on the review sheet and reviewed for the
exam. The review session is Sunday at 5:00 in Richardson 021
and on Zoom.
9/30: We basically finished Chapter
1.7. The homework for Wednesday is on Page 140. Questions #6
& 12 count as one question, #23, 24, 31, 32, 45, and 46. On the latter six questions
also give me the new domain and range.
9/28:
We did more of 1.7. I handed out the review
sheet for the next exam. We set the time for the review
session to be Sunday at 5:00. The homework for Wednesday is
on Page 140. Questions #5, 7, 8, &10 count as one question, #26,
27, 33, 34, and 36. On
the latter five questions also give me the new domain and range.
9/25:
We did more of 1.7 The homework for Monday is on Page
140. Questions #1-4 count as one question, #20, 22, 29,
30, and 35. On the latter five questions also give me the new
domain and range.
9/23: We finished Chapter 1.6 and started
1.7. The homework is Pages 107-111, do Questions #21, 29, 31,
34, 35, 38, 52-57 will be treated as one question with six parts,
and 99. For #52-57, and 99, explain your answers.
9/21: We did much of Chapter 1.6.
The homework for Wednesday is Page 107, #14, 15, 16, 18 &
20. Show calculations for at least 2 points in each interval.
9/18: We finished Chapter 1.5 and started
Chapter 1.6. The homework for Monday is Page 84, #47 &
49. Note that their x is my Q; their p(x) is my P(Q) and their
P(x) is my PI(Q). (I cannot type the Greek letter Pi
here.) Also, on Page 107, for the equations in Questions #1,
4, 6, and 11, find the intercepts. Then if it could have
symmetry, test for the appropriate symmetry. If it does not
appear to have symmetry, then explain why not. Then find other
points for a total of 5 points. Plot them.
9/16: We went over much of Chapter
1.5. The homework for Friday is Page 84, #8, 9, 15, 19, 24,
30, & 33. For #15 and 19, because there is almost no work
to show, you must explain what you did.
9/14: You took the test. If not,
then contact me ASAP.
9/11: I added questions to the review
sheet last night. We went over the review sheet questions and
on the homework you handed in today. The review session for
Monday's exam is Sunday at 5:00.
9/9: We covered Chapter 1.3 and 1.4.
The homework for Friday is Page 49, # 2, 5, 6, 8, 14, 20, and
22. For each question, write one sentence which explains what
you did.
9/7: The answer key for the homework due
today is posted on Canvas with the assignment. We then covered
Chapter 1.2. The homework for Wednesday is on Page 16, do
Questions #31, 32, 33, 34. On Page 29, do Question #18 and
briefly explain what you did. On Page 32, do Question #41 for
values of X = -2, -1, 0, 1, & 2. Show all calculations and
briefly explain what you did. On Page 32, do Question #49 for
values of X = -6, -4, -2, 0, & 2. Show all calculations
and briefly explain what you did. We set the time for the review
session as Sunday at 5:00. The review sheet
is also posted.
9/4: We finished Chapter 1.1. The
homework for Monday is on Page 16. Do questions #22 -28.
Also, plot the points for each question. Also, bring a
method to access Canvas on Monday. I will put the answer key
to Monday's assignment on Canvas rather than on the board.
9/2: We covered much of Chapter 1.1.
The homework due Friday is on Pages 14 & 15 of the
textbook. For
each answer, give a one sentence explanation of what you
did. If there is no sentence explanation, I will not give
any credit because there is no work to show.
Page 14: #2, #3, #5, #6 Simplify the interval notation when
possible and graph all four answers. Page 15: #10, #13, Write
in interval notation and graph both answers.

review session is Sunday at 5:00. I am not requiring
attendance, and all are welcome to attend in Zoom. The Zoom
